Many Jews reached senior command ranks. Especially remarkable was the part of Jews with high ranks in the Soviet Army, in their total number and also in their number relative to the size of the Jewish population. Upwards of 300 Jewish Generals and Admirals served in the Soviet Army in World War II.
Jews with senior ranks of General and their opposite naval ranks were also included in the Armies of the British Empire as well as the American Armed Forces and the other Allies.
