Dr. Yehiel Atlas was the Leader of a group of Jewish partisans in the Roda forest area known as the "Atlas Group".Born in Rava-Mozbeiczek. He led an assault against the German forces in Dertsin and organized a Jewish partisan group there. Took part in numerous attacks against the Germans and saved many Jews. He was killed in an attack in December 1942 against heavy German resistance.
