L/Cpl Joseph Barnett (Barney) Abramowitz (1917-1941) was the son of Mr and Mrs I.Abramowtiz of Worcestor, Cape Province. He served in the South African Tank Corps 12th Armoured Car Coy, service number 15574. He died in a motor accident between Johannesburg and Preimer Mine on the 2nd July 1941. He is buried in the Rebecca Street Cemetery, Pretoria, grave 856. He is commemorated on the Worcester War Memorial, Western Cape.
