Woolf Bermeister (11 March 1901 Russia - 10 April 1982 Johannesburg, South Africa) Civic Guard, was the son of Abraham Obermeister and Vera Obermeister. After he was married, he changed his surname from Obermeister to Bermeister. He was educated in Europe and came to South Africa in 1919. He was a pioneer of retail radio and in the photographic trade in South Africa. He married Jenny Dyne (1906-1993) on the 9 October 1927 and they had three sons. They lived in Johannesburg.
