Mary Dorothea Adler formerly Chaskalson (24 May 1905 Cape Town, South Africa - 20 October 1989 Johannesburg, South Africa) was the daughter of Raphael Oshry (1872-1964) and Mussa Oshry born Herring (1873-1955). She married Harry Chaskalson (1896-1936) and they had two sons. Following his death she married Dr Joseph Henry Adler (1901-1988) in 1944. The family lived in Johannesburg.During World War Two she was a regular Red Cross worker and received a badge for her war service.
