Hymie Baron (23 June 1915 Bulawayo Rhodesia - 10 March 1988 Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) was the son of Max Baron (1880-1948) and Dora Baron born Lieberman (1885-1963). He was educated at Milton Junior and Senior Schools. He married Joy Sager (1921-1990) and they had 4 children.During World War Two he served with the Rhodesian forces and was a wing commander. His brothers Benjamin Baron (1904-1994), Joseph Baron M.C. (1911-2013) and David Montague Baron (1919 -1995) all served in the war. When their father died in 1948, his obituary stated " Four of his sons fought in the late war.
