Biography

Kasriel Chanarin (19 September 1911 Poland -14 April 1972 Cape Town, South Africa) Union Defence Force, known as Jack, was the son of Iser Chanarin (1878-1964) and Dina Chanarin born Muraskin (1888-1935) of Cape Town. He came to South Africa in 1928.

During World War Two, he served with the South African forces in North Africa.

He married Frieda Dickman (1915-1963) on the 12 December 1943 in Cape Town. They had three sons. He was a manufacturer in the building trade and shopfitting in Cape Town.
