Freda Gita Epstein nee Katz (1922 Port Elizabeth, South Africa - 1 February 1967 Port Elizabeth, South Africa) was the daughter of Gerson Katz 1893-1978 and Etty Katz nee Diamond (1902-1967) of Port Elizabeth.During World War Two she served in the South African Military Nursing Services. Her husband Raymond Epstein (1921-1994) was a Sub. Lieutenant and was seconded to the Royal Navy. After the war, they married on the 27 May 1948 in Port Elizabeth.
