David Benjamin Abrahams (1913 Cape Province, South Africa - 17 May 1992 Cape Town, South Africa) known as Dave, was the son of Morris George Abrahams (1873-1942) and Annie Martha Abrahams nee Levinthal (1883-1943) of Williston, Cape Province. He married Dora Hilkowitz (1907-1980) on the 25 December 1938 in Cape Town.During World War Two he volunteered in the Union Defence Force. He was sent 'up North' and fought together with other soldiers from Cape Town in the Western Desert.
